Reporting Concerns

Rotherham Children’s Social Care - Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH): 01709 336080. Professionals making a referral to Social Care will be expected to follow up in writing using a Multi-Agency Referral Form within 24 hours of the phone call.

Reporting the concerns not relating to a specific child or young people

  • If your concerns do not relate to a named child but instead are regarding suspicious activity, potential perpetrators or locations that may be used to exploit young people then contact the Police on ‘101’.
  • This will allow the police to carry out a risk assessment and deploy the most appropriate response.
  • Confidential matters that are not time critical can be reported via Crimestoppers on ‘0800 500 111’ or via their secure website
  • In an emergency, the Police should be contacted on 999
