Serious Case Reviews


Safeguard Children (2006) requires a Local Safeguarding Children’s Board to consider whether a serious case review should be undertaken when a child’s death involves abuse or neglect, where a child sustains serious and permanent impairment of health and development through abuse or neglect and the case gives rise to concerns about the way local professionals work together, or where a parent has been murdered in a domestic violence situation and a homicide review is being initiated.
